Unable to locate my details

Hi, i sent off a SAR last month to AA Loans for my initial credit agreement for a loan i had. They claim that they are unable to find any detailsof me even though i only paid off the loan 2 years ago. I think the PPI box was preticked when i took out the loan but i can't be 100% sure.Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do next ?! Thanks in advance.

Realisically they should hold your details for at least the last 6 years.

I would write back and make them aware of this and write if they fail to provide you with all the details of your account number xxxxxxx that is way within the data protection act timescale you will be considering contacting the Information Commissioners office (ICO).

However, if you wish you could ring/email the ICO for further info on this and whatever they suggest you do, as they may say to write back to the business anyway, and you could tell them you have already made contact with the ICO and if they fail to provide you with your details of the account (all details) you can complain to them.

However, you can still continue to make a reclaim on any ppi with your reasons as long as you have your account number.
Many have still been successful without the paperwork, but as you've already paid the fee, the business by law should have provided you with all the data of your account.
