  • 6 Month to contend elapsed

Hi - first posting as I am a bit concerned with delay in FOS. Had rejection from MBNA in April 2012 given 6 months to go to FOS which I did around 31st August, but still not heard anything from FOS and this 6 months has now elapsed (well nearly 5 months ago)

I have written to FOS enclosing copy of the letters sent last year - am I just not going to get anywhere with this now as 6 months has past, or should FOS have acknowledged the forms I sent by now.

Basically PPI from 1998-2006 on a form completed at Motorway service station in 1998 - everything was ticked just fill in address and name we'll do the rest... clicked in 2006 what it was and cancelled but still paying off the card!

    cheers

Re: 6 Month to contend elapsed

    Hi and welcome

    Yes definately!

Have you not heard anything from them at all, since you sent the complaint in August? (confirmation letter)?

You should have received an acknowledgement letter with a ref number if whenever you needed to contact them with, or if you want to forward further information.
Did you post your complaint by signed for/recorded delivery?

I take it you complained to the actual business first who sold you the policy? and they rejected and provided you with a final decision? (Did they enclose details of the FOS in the final letter (decision)?

If you've heard nothing at all, then I would contact the FOS customer service (free phone number) ;-)

Let us know how you get on, good luck.

..........just re-read now, you did receive the final decision from the business. Do chase up the FOS though, good luck.
