  • Halifax Loan - possible PPI from 1990s

    Hi
I had a Halifax loan back in the 90s which I am sure 100% there was PPI added to it. I can remember the sales person saying this was added as a condition of getting loan.
I have wrote to the Halifax who are claiming they have no records of this loan. I think I paid this off in 2000.
    What can I do?
    Thanks

Seriously, unless you can PROVE that this was the case, you are on a hiding to nothing..
The fact it was paid off in 2000 is against you.

        Hi and welcome

Do you by any chance have any information/paperwork related to the loan?

Not saying it may be the case for you, but when I requested for my SAR (for my information from the bank of everything I held with them) I was surprised to have received data going back into the 90's. It's up to you of course if you want to request for this, let us know and one of us will be happy to post up the template letter for you. ;-)
