2003 black horse car finance PPI claim - where do i start?

found all the original documents from when i purchased my car in 2003, looking at the paperwork i can see that i was charged PPI, which is why my monthly payments were higher than i expected!

the agreement was made in oct 2003 with black horse finance

am i able to reclaim the PPI? where do i start?

It does help by having the original documents, you can now start by pursing the ones who sold you the policy, so was it actually sold by a dealer or Black Horse? I understand that Black Horse would be the ones to take out the debits of the repayments every month, but whoever arranged it are the ones you pursue, so if it was a dealer, you write to them (head office) by completing a reclaim questionnaire as below, make sure you keep a copy, and enclose some "copies" of the paperwork, such as a copy of the agreement, never send the originals, and they should write back by a week or 2 - which is an acknowledgement/confirmation of them receiving your complaint and how they will be dealing with it etc.

It's also recommended to use signed for recorded delivery, so you can check the status of delivery (track and trace) via the Royal Mail website.
