  • PPI Claim

Hi folks, new to site and hopefully quick question.
I once had a credit card got into debt ie didnt pay and defaulted on the card. It has now been passed to a credit company and paying back so much each month. Question is can i still claim back the PPI on the credit card? and if so who do i chase for it?

Hope that all makes sense and hope to here from someone with good advice.
    Mike.

    Re: PPI Claim

Hi Mike, and welcome to you. You should be able to reclaim the PPI, and you will probably find that it will be used to reduce or clear your outstanding debt, with any surplus being refunded to you. It is usual to claim from the lender who originally sold you the PPI, as they were responsible for mis-selling.

Have a read through our PPI section (click on the PPI tab at top of page).

Hi and welcome to Legal Beagles

Bill is correct, you can still make a reclaim on the PPI, and usually the award is refunded towards the debt balance, anything remaining plus any interest to what I am aware of comes back to you.

You still pursue the bank/business who sold you the account as Bill says because these are liable, even if the account has now been passed on to the collections company.

I see Bill have left you some details of the PPI section, and on there you should find the reclaim questionnaire, you complete with your reasons and send to head or complaints of as stated the business that sold you the account.

Remember to keep copies for yourself too.

If you require further help from here, please feel free to post up anytime.

      Good luck.

                Hi

I think Interest should all be part of the reclaim, but it differs from credit card ppi to loan ppi from what I am aware of.
So when they calculate, it should be done automatically.

                Good luck.
