Welcomes favourite tactic is not sending the forms out... congrats on that part at least... The forms are ten pages long but the CMC v Doing yourself argument/discussion usually doesn't apply if you are reading the pages on this forum....
Because you are here in the first place, leads me to believe you are more informed than the average person in regards to why they may have mis-sold you the ppi...
If any person in the street gets those forms thou, they have to construct the arguments correctly which is where the CMC has the advantage... The major benefit of doing it thro a CMC is that , if they are decent one, they will put the argument in a more constructive, legal, based on rules and regs etc etc..
It would, in my opinion , for the average welcome finance client have more chance of success if going thro a CMC...
Welcome are in right state at the minute and the FSCS really didn't expect or forsee all the problems they were letting themselves in for and are not organised enough to deal with the 30,000 claims they were hoping to do per month... What they have found is they have another 30,000-40,000 calling up for the forms and cant cope... Your 21 phonecalls and 13 weeks trying to get a form that should have been sent out within two shows me they are either in a mess or not sending forms on purpose hoping you forget about it or at least delay the claim..
The average welcome client might think I would rather get the CMC to fill it in and get 75-80 % of what I would get rather than try it myself and get nothing if its not upheld...
