  • Claiming back ppi on completed IVA

I successfully completed my IVA in August of this year and the main amount of it was with the Yorkshire BAnk. I have now been advised that I can claim back the ppi on this. I have approached the bank for records relating to this as I can't seem to find mine and they have told me they no longer have the records! I think that the loan agreement was Sept 2004 - what are the actual laws regarding this. I have been advised that by law they should still have my records, to ask for a letter confirming that they dont (from the Yorkshire Bank) and then complain to the financial obudsman.
Can you advise what the bank should do regarding my records?
Also it looks as though there is around 5.5 on ppi can i claim this due to the IVA?

    Thanks in advance.

Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. the FOS won't look at DPA complaints.

also sar the bank for all the info they hold on you it will cost £10 and take 40 days but this is the basis for any claim and is the offical route under the dpa to obtain data from your bank
If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of payments.
