Last November(2009) I received a phone call from the above company and in my naievity I agreed to pay them £179.00 in respect of 2 PPI claims, one for myself and the other for my wife.We duly completed the formsand returned them.
I contacted the firm in Feb.2010,then again in April, then again in May when i was told that 2 letters had been sent out seperately but neither arrived-their explanation being the vagaries of the postal system.I talked to a supervisor/manager called Lisa in July and she indicated that they would send out a fresh letter by recorded delivery which i duly received on the basis they would fast track the applications but it would mean paying extra to the solicitors if the claim(s) were successful. The only information included in the forms was my name and addresss even though I had already forwarded all the relevant info to them back in November-and they was no mention at all about my wifes claim.I rang them again and queried why there was no info written on the forms and no mention about my wifes claim.Lisa sent me out the exact same info again!!
I contacted Lisa on Thursday(12/08)and she told me the info had been sent to their Admin Team-I advised her that the letters I received were from the Admin Team and she promised that she would check it all out and ring me tomorrow(yesterday). She even had the effrontery to ask me my wifes name!!!!!!!!!! which i refused to give her.Needless to say having waited until16.45 i decided to phone her but after several minutes was told she was at a meeting and wouldnt be available until monday.
Do i have any recourse to cancel and demand my money back on the basis that they have not fulfilled their part of the agreement?Cancelyourloan would be a joke if they were taken seriously and I note from their info that they are regulated by the Ministry of Justice-that says quite a lot in itself.
