HBoS Scraps PPI as of January

HBoS Group has followed RBS Group in scrapping PPI policies.
The official reasons is that customers are less inclined to want to take out PPI on their loans.

However, unofficial sources seem to indicate that both the worsening economic outlook and the amount of money having to be paid out in unemployment claims are at the heart of the decision to scrap it.

Where do LLOYDS stand on this or is that irrelevant?

They have yet to announce their intentions but I would suspect that they will all be doing that. That means for new customers and not existing ones that already have PPI on their loans.
