  • A personal Recommendation.

    Hiya all,

this thread is a chance to sing the praises of those that are helping people with debts and helping to get their lives back on track.

PLEASE NOTE, this is for positive feedback only. There are also members who can help you arrange a DMP for yourself. If, like me, you feel you need to involve a 3rd party, or you have had a positive experience with a company, please share this here.

This is based on personal experience and I am a stay at home mum of 3 so have no financial gain from this, infact my DMP provider have no idea I am writing this.

I would like to reccommend, with the Admins kind permission, Lawerence Charlton of Liverpool (please PM me for contact details) as they have bent over backwards and then some to help us.
They are friendly and helpful and I cannot reccomend then highly enough.

    over to you

Nice idea, Puff - and I agree that we should give credit where it's due, in order to achieve some balance, and see a little sunshine. You know me, though - I can't think of ANYONE :tinysmile_cry_t: !!! Although some years ago, our local Trading Standards Office were very helpful in this respect - credit to them.

I think its great to recommend a good DMP, please remember that you can do it yourself, but and this is a massive but, you do need to be disciplined and make sure that you keep up with the payments and so on, so if you're not sure, not disciplined then a DMP is a great way to go.

Could someone recommend a good no win no fee lawyer that I can chat too about a rather iffy secured-loan? If you have been following any of my threads the company in question are flaunting OFT and FSA guidelines and bending the terms and conditions to accommodate themselves. BTW I live in Scotland.

Ruby, have you started a thread about this? You'll find most 'high street' solicitors will run for the hills if you bring them anything more complex than a house sale/divorce/will to write!
If your case has merit, there are a couple of NWNF firms specialising in this area, but your case would need to be rock solid. After all, why would a firm take on a case NWNF if it could be lost easily?
Hopefully LB can help you challenge the issue, so tell us a bit more..... xx
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

That's a thought, Ruby & Cel. Hopefully not off-topic, but a 'Sticky' thread for decent NWNF lawyers, listing their specialties - and with a pre-amble outlining the 'pre-requisites,' as mentioned by Cel ?

CAB in particular "Steve" at our local branch. Sadly, due to cut backs his role has changed. But he has helped and is still helping me. And LB of course!

                      Re: A personal Recommendation.

Further to DT's post, I agree that CAB were a real help to so many of us 'ordinary people.' I spent many hours in the local library poring through 'CANS' (the CAB's reference notes), and that helped me immensely in my battles with the 'authorities' and the banks back in the days before we had t'interweb. It seems a shame to me that CAB has now been swallowed by sharks, and there must be so many good-hearted CAB volunteers who have been betrayed by the apparent sell-out.

Further to Inca's - I always say that the reason most of us us guys are here is because we were in the same - or worse - positions than those who now come for advice. We're just passing on what we ourselves have learned from those who went before us - and in doing so, we continue to learn ourselves. FWIW, those who started LB did so primarily because they wanted to get away from the Neanderthal or 'Judge Mental' attitudes that were prevalent in the 'prehistoric' days of 2006/7. I'm even learning to pick my knuckles up off the floor when I shuffle along !!!

However - I am thoroughly disgusted with thoughtless and selfish people who toke spliffs at the top of the stairs. You KNOW you should have been sharing it in the darkened living-room downstairs !!! :tung:

Thanks Inca xxx That's exactly what we set out to achieve 5 years ago and it is a source of enormous pride that we created a real community that has not grown arrogant or less caring as we have grown in size.

                          However, small IS beautiful :beagle:

Thanks Cel I have in the meantime 'armed myself' with various Oft Guidelines into 'unfair relationships' . I feel well over qualified to work for the the FOS now (who I would definitely NOT recommend). I had another knock back from them into credit card charges (Bank of Scotland) a couple of days ago - waste of space! LB I love u all X
