  • Suckered in by lifestyle claims

Sad to say i was suckered in by Lifestyle claims. Promised i was owed thousands in missold PPi. They took two payments from me for £359.98 for them to act on two credit cards. This was in december 2011.I was told that this would take up to three months to see a return. Those payments showed on my credit card statements as going to Lifestyle claims. and phone number 0871 4022240
Then in January 2012 i was contacted again in regards to PPI on my mortgages. I would need to upfront £599.98 twice for two mortgages with an expected return of £3000 each. this i did with a promise that it would be completed within three months. This showed on my statement as ALL DEBT SOLUTIONS. and phone number 01792621243. This number is no longer available.
I have tried to ring the lifestyle number and i get thru to customer services. after sking to be put thru to the ppi claims dept the phone gets hung up. Even thru the lifestyle.net website, when asking for an update, nothing happens.
I have spoken to the credit card company who have frozen the interest on the payments i made. I have spoken with the mortgage companies involved who have had NO correspondance with any of the companies mentioned.
I Fear my money has evaporated. What can i do???

Re: Suckered in by lifestyle claims

Ohhhh dear, soooo sorry to hear of this.

In last few months I have helped a couple of people get the return of their money back from Lifestyle and other CMC's.

Why in the hell would you pay them more money in Jan 2012 when they had not sorted out the first claim this does not make sense?

December 2011 is a blimmin long time. So here's what you do and please follow my instructions:-

    1. For the Dec 2011 payments, You will need to write a 7 day letter to their MD demanding a full update on whether or not there is a valid claim on this Dec 2011 payments of 2 x 359.98 = £719.96, send this by special delivery and by fax. Advise them that under the MOJ rules if there is no claim attributable to you then a full refund has to be made within 14 days. Tell them that failure to respond within the 7 day period you will have no option but to report this matter to both the MOJ and The Trading Standards. Do not speak to them on the phone, keep everything in writing and it is imperative that you write this letter as soon as possible.

    2. I am assuming you were talking to Lifestyle Claims and that they promised you a refund within 3 months on the PPI claim which you paid 2 x £599.98 = £1,199.96, The people that took the money are a Debt Mangement Company and not a Claims Management Company and do not deal with reclaiming of PPI. http://www.alldebtsolutions.co.uk/ they also do not charge an upfront fee so if these people have taken your money this is not right especially when you believed you were dealing with Lifestyle Claims. Phone up ALL DEBT SOLUTIONS on Monday and ask them what their connection is with Lifestyle Claims? Please report back to me on this, as this is very crucial that you paid for a service on Lifestyle yet your money was taken by another company? Once we know what the connection between them, you can immedfiately contact your credit card provider and advise them that their has been some weird goings on and money taken fraudulentley from your card. But you will need to know why they charged your card fisrt and if there is any connections between Lifestyle and them. This may well be a police matter and also Trading standards may have to get involved as well.

It is very important that you follow these steps and that you come back to me with full updates on both cases.

If you don't want to proceed with the service you have been offered you must cancel within 10 days of agreeing to this by writing to them by email or special delivery and you must also send back the pack otherwise they will not refund.

If you need any further help please let me know.

Do not phone All Debt Solutions' number (01792621243). I tried it twice and I think my phone was hacked to turn off and on because the 2nd time it turned on and off 3 times in a row without me touching anything. I have never had any problems with phone before.

That is a very weird. If anyone else has the same experience can you please let us know.

Please do not be confused:- LIFESTYLE CLAIMS are in administration.

All Debt Solution Ltd is actually LIFESTYLE MONEY and is different company (but in the same building and some directors may be the same)
