Hello and aaarghhhh....i am in the process of trying to get a refund from this company:tinysmile_cry_t: my story so far:
On the 28th May was called by said company asking about ppi claims, i HAVE ALWAYS HUNG UP, but i didnt...know idea why!!...so i listened and they sounded ok i did ask alot of questions and was assured if not successful a full refund etc etc...so i did the most stupidest thing and said yes. On the 7th June returned the paperwork with the requested cheques for the searches, on the 9th June had a call from a John saying yes it looks like i had an excellent claim would take approx 12 months....pardon me? 12 months was told 13 weeks to 6 mnths during first call, ah yes with our platinum service would take 13 wks at a cost of £254!!!...ermmmm think about it i said. So now i am panicking as now oh yes i see the light this is soooooo not right, start to google and am rightly panicked when i come across your forum and see how they conduct their "buisness!" so very next morning i email them to say i wish to terminate my contract i am within my 14 days cooling off period, 2hrs later i get an email acknowlegding my termination request and yes am within my 14 days....phew. Am away for a few days so there isnt much i can do but still very concerned at my lack of judgement. So on the 14th june i call them, just to confirm the contract is treminated....umm no i cant see that says the guy on the phone....one minute.....on hold, he then says oh yes we have the email it has been terminated you have sent the pack back to us.....uuhh no am sending the remainder of the pack back to you today, part of their terms and conditions is to send the welcome pack back??? so i sent off said pack and paid for recorded delivery....not totally daft! On the 16th june am left a message on my answerphone, ...." hi this i Susan calling from money claiming experts i am sorry but you are not within the 14 days cooling off...blah blah.."...Arggggh am so darn cross....so i call them sorry shes not available...um yes you are within your 14 days i will get her to call you back....no you cant am on my way to work...so spent an evening at work seething!
So here we are today, i researched the Ministry of Justice and the financial ombudsman and also which?.....and decided i would call Susan back. I spoke to an Anthony who had me on hold for over 5mins, sorry Susan is busy at the moment, so i asked him about her claims...its okay you are within your 14 days for a refund he tehn went on about a holding account and solicitors and the 30 day refund policy...ok i said i will get my refund by 17 th July and will that be straight back onto my card?...yes he said and then asked me to confirm my card details.
I did ask about the solicitors they used he mentioned legal redress and chatwines.
When he asked about my reasons for cancelling i simply stated... i did some research and wasnt happy about what i had found out about the company, i also had realized i could do this for myself at no extra cost(ppi claim) i also stated the moj makes interesting reading as does the fos regarding the regulations for claims companies...ohhh let me put you in touch with one of our managers....2mins max wait.....ohh sorry hes busy but he did say you will get a full refund back to your card. OK thankyou i said .....now i wait

Well whilst i am still very worried about getting my money back i am hopefull, due to this site i was able to stay calm on the phone and not rant like i have to myself!, wether mentioning i had searched info through the MOJ and the FOS will help will have to wait and see. Have to say apart from Susan who obviously failed at maths, i have managed to contact them straight away and get through to a person.
Should i contact the MOJ regarding this company or wait to see if i get my money back first? Also should i send this company another email stating that i look forward to recieving my refund by the 17th July as agreed with the Anthony?
Thanks again for a great site.

    Hi Starbb

    Welcome to Legal Beagles.

Your story unfortunately follows the many complaints we have had on this company so far. If you can send a private mail to Amethyst with your name the date you paid, the amount etc she will contact on your behalf Money Claiming Experts and request your refund.

In the meantime if you paid by credit card you may be able to get this refund back from the credit card company on the basis that you canceled within the 14 day cooling off period and that you have evidence of this and that they have not refunded you your money.

If all else fails then I agree that a letter to the Minitry of Justice complaining might achieve something but I do not hold out to much hope on this angle.

Hi Starrb, Yes I think a follow up email confirming that you expect the refund by XX date and ask them to confirm by return, would be a good plan then you have something in writing if it doesnt happen.

I am about to send these buggers an email stating i have followed their t&c and will be expecting a full refund by the 17th July, though why it has to be a 30 day wait......ughhh . Also an email to the MOJ too, then maybe i can think about something else instaed of this all the time

Thankyou so much again for your great site xxxx

Update...have sent email to money claiming gits but no reply as yet, also to MOJ with all dates regarding these people and their buisiness. Have recieved today from barclaycard a letter about SECTION 78 OF THE CONSUMER CREDIT ACT 1974, after recieving a letter from a third party!!!..i had called barclaycard and informed them on 10th June about these people and NOT to do anything they asked, i had stopped the £10 cheque but not the £1. What should i do know, do i email barclaycard and again request that NO dealings to be had with these bloody nightmares??

Hiya just an update......i have been refunded all the money i had paid back to my barclacycard!!!....i am so relieved
It has taken 8 weeks and a few days, about 10 calls, 4 emails throughout checking the status...i will NEVER do this kind of stupid thing again.

I have seen the other recent posts about this company, who have had recent payouts, and maybe i might have done if i had not canceled, however i could not take that risk, especially if i can do this myself....wether i will or not at the moment i cant say, just to say that the guys who work there, who answered my questions and queries were really helpful (apart from one). I logged each call and made notes of what was said, just in case and the emails i sent i did get a reply the same day, so in my case apart from the initial fears, they did give me my money back and were polite and reassuring each time....maybe they are learning?!...or maybe like a lot of companies you only hear about peoples bad experiences and not the good??

That is fantastic news and well done you for seeing this through.

When you are ready to reclaim PPI have a look here http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...play.php?f=125

One of our members just yesterday received a refund on PPI in a very quick time. Best to read up on recent cases in PPI forum and see how peeps have gone about obtaining the refund. Honestly, as long as you have been mis-sold this insurance it is very easy to obtain the refund + interest.

As for hearing peeps bad experience we have had some positive responses recently but these have been only few against the 100's of peeps who have not yet had any responses whatsoever since paying fees to them earlier last year. We have a thread Cento Client Review which is the name they used before changing it recently to Money Claiming Experts.

                All the best

                    Hi Ellie

Did you send back the pack within 14 days?

This is the only way they will accept cancellation.

Hi me again, this is a bit confusing as today i have received a letter from Legal Redress regarding my Virgin card wanting me to give permission to have my details sent to LR!! I phoned LR straight away to inform them i had canceled my contract with MoneyCE in June and had a full refund end of July, they were a bit confused and asked me to send them an email confirming this, which i did with the date and times of when this happened. Obviously i am rather concerned that LR will try and claim monies from me from work they have done, would they do this do you think? and if they did where do i stand? these people are haunting me:confused2:

                        Hi Starbb

When you cancelled with MCE that should have been the end of it. Did you at any time sign a separate contract with LR? If you did not sign a contract I cannot see that they can hold you responsible for their costs.

If you cancelled the contract it was up to MCE to advise LR not to do any work on your behalf.

Therefore, I can see no reason why you cannot give them the information that they require and let them take it up with MCE.

                          NOTICE

Lifestyle Claims have gone into administration.

They are Client Connection Ltd and have traded as Cento Client Review/Money Saving Exxxxx and of course last known as Lifestyle Claims

                          The administrators are:
                          Sharma & Co.,
                          Mr Gagen Dulari Sharma,
                          257 Hagley Road,
                          Birmingham,
                          B16 9NA

Please also be very aware that there is another company trading from the same address called Lifestyle Money and they trade from a different Ltd Company and have their own authorisation from the MOJ. They also have some of the same directors that used to be on Client Connection Ltd.

Please be aware that Lifestyle Money cannot deal with Lifestyle Money matters and if they do you should be reporting this immediately to the MOJ as this is against the MOJ authorisation rules.

Also, Redhawk Legal have also been purporting to deal with Lifestyle Claims current claims and answering the phone as if they are Lifestyle Claims. The MOJ have said they cannot do this and I am sure the MOJ will close this down very quickly. We have also been advised that Ultimate Law have also taken on Lifestyle Claims and I am waiting for the MOJ to confirm the current position.

If anyone has received any notifications from the Administrator regarding the administration or that the business hqas been transferred can you advise me immediately and if possible post up the letters you have received.
