          Hi Brewers SG

Welcome to Legal Beagles and thank you for posting.

Please take time to read this thread http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...d.php?p=111413

Also, if you can confirm if you have ever had any dealings with Loans.co.uk that would be very helpfull.

Paying a fee of almost £150 is outrageous and it will not stop there. Also, I would not give any more of your personal details when anything they can do for you can be done free of charge using this site and without giving anyone your details. You will remain in control. This will include reclaiming PPI if mis-sold, bank and mortgage charges.

They claim to have solicitors called Forbes Douglas, after research we have found that they are only a claims management company the same as Cento Client Review.

You will also note the BBC blog on Saturday is on the Cento Thread and the Ministry Of Justices are not endorsing payments upfront to any company.

We are also asking that anyone who has been cold called should complain to the Ministry of Justice as there is no way that they should have cold called you. info@claimsregulation.gov.uk

Please also take time to look over the various forums and anything that you need help with please post in the appropriate forum.

          Tuttsi

I would assume that lots have and been completely satisfied, unfortunately none that have joined our forum and posted about it. For balance it would be nice if someone did. Do you know of anyone that fits the bill?

I have just been contact by this company and yes I seem to have fallen for their patter - doh!

I have contacted the MOJ and have been reading up on this site about them, but couldn't find any recent comments? Has anyone been successful, as all I seem to have been reading is the bad stuff (is there any good stuff?), but they claim to have a MOJ reference number and are not listed as a company that has had their registration suspended or cancelled. I then checked the registration number which MOJ didn't recognise, which is why I have contacted them. I'm still waiting for a response, but will let you know what the MOJ say.

Any recent info on this company is most welcome.:tinysmile_grin_t:

                  Hi Ginty

                  Welcome to Legal Beagles.

This is the link to the main thread for Cento Client Review http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...ad.php?t=16630

We would glady love to hear from any one who has been sucessfull in receiving any settlements but sadly so far no one has come forward.

Can you post up the MOJ auth number that you have so we can also check this for you.

Also, can you confirm how much you have paid and the date?

If you really do not want to continue and you are within the 14 days you can retu4n the pack and you should be able to obtain a refund.

If you need any other help just post up and one of the team will help you.

                    Re: Cento client review

Thanks for geting back to me so soon Tuttsi. The reference number I was given was CRM 16588 and I have paid out £199 to date - I was only called Tues night. I class myself as a resonably intelligent person, but the guy I was speaking to was very convincing and mentioned things I hard heard about/ had knowledge of. I was also in shock as he said I was looking at £20 - £40 K back and my current mortgage paid off!! This frankly would be life changing - so I let my heart get the better of my head I'm afraid. Still my head is back in charge, hence joining this site.

How do you prove/ otherwise that financial products were miss sold if the product has since been fuly paid off and how can I check if my current Northern Rock policy is flawed in any way?

Advice most welcome. Oh nearly forgot - still waiting for a response from the MOJ, I'll post the response when I get it.

                      Hi Ginty

We all get taken in by this hard sales calls and with the promise of money back it is always going to sway pople to participate. This is a big span between £20-40K and what bothers me is that they cannot possibly know the amount it is really pure guess work from their end.

Take a look at the link I put in and start a thread under the relevant section under mortgages/ Northern Rock and others who are more expierenced in unenforceable loans etc will be best able to assist you.

                          Re: Cento client review

Hi there, i'm new to the site and have been in talks with a rep of Centro for the last few days. he seems very friendly and determined to sort out my financial issues.

I took a loan out with Lloyds TSB about 5 years ago for £1200. I agreed to pay it off over 8 years with interest, a stupid mistake that a 20 year old, skint student makes!!

After 3 years i discovered that my monthly payments were barely chipping into the loan amount itself and i was just paying the interest.... i've received a lot of phone calls and letters from Credit Control Agencies and Collectors chasing the debt.

On two occasions, 2 separate agencies have offered to consolidate and discount the debt to a figure of £650 and write if off. I'd had this confirmed in writing, only for the offer to be taken away and the original £1200 to be revised.

The rep for Centro feels that i have a VERY strong case and wants to start processing the claim. He is keen that i have all the paperwork and other info in writing and says it can be passed on to the solicitors with the fee of £149.99 to get the ball rolling. He estimates a 12 week turn around time with no other payments necessary and a complete refund if the case doesn't rule in my favour.

What are peoples opinions on this?

                            Re: Cento client review

Well Danny, if you went ahead and they kept to their word you would be the first ever that we know of that would have received any money. I have been following them since March 09 and no one to my knowledge has had back any money whatsoever. Anything that sounds too good to be true you should be very wary of.

At the end of the day it is your money and only you alone can make that decision as to whether to let Cento deal with this for you. But before you do I have some question that you should ask first:

                            1. Who are the Solicitors? Please advise us?

                            2. How much are they charging if there is a win 25% or 30%?

                            3. Did they cold call you? If they did they are breaking the terms of holding a licence with the MOJ and could be in breach of the conditions.

                            4. Did they mention your loan with TSB - or did you advise them of this?

                            5. The points you have stated that there are no other charges, this cannot be true, I would definately ask for this in writing first and post it up here for further advice. You must have a read their Terms and Conditions before you progress as what they have said on the phone may not be able to be verified at a latter stage as it may be denied that they have told you this. Don't forget you are only talking to a call centre and they cannot possibly know what you are entitled to on spec without seeing all the paperwork.

Also, I have to say you can do your own recovery if there is anything to recover we have all the tools and information at your disposal here on Legal Beagles to be able to make your own enquiries. Their are several experienced members on this site who could help you decide if there was a case to answer to.

It would also be interesting as to why the call centre staff rep feel that you have a very strong case, they are not privvy to your personal details and therefore would not have a clue one way or other about your loan with TSB and whether is was capable of being claimed against and for what reason did they give that you had a strong case?

Sorry if I sound negative, but I have seen many people not win anything back after parting with money to Claims Management Companies.

                            Tuttsi

                              Hi

I got a phone call from this company back in august 2009, I didnt jump straight in but seeing as I am no good with paperwork after thinking about it for a week (i knew my mum was doing something similar but with help from a friend rather than a company) I signed up and paid my £149.99.

I haent actually filled the forms in yet, due to one reason or another. I got a phone call from them the other day asking where my forms were as I only had till Feb to complete them before my £149.99 would expire. At first that made me think that maybe it was a good thing that they chased me as they hadnt just took my money and run. Although now after reading all this information about them I am abit wary in sending in my forms.

Im finding them hard to compete as Im not sure if I have had PPI sold to me or not (like I said I am not good with forms and paperwork) Plus I am worried about what they might do with all my information.

What I want to know is do I carry on a fill in the forms and see if it gets me anywhere or just become accustomed to the fact that ive lost £149.99 and take that as a lesson learnt

                              Many thanks for your help
