  • Claim Form - Civil National Business Centre - PRA Group

This is a credit card debt on an account defaulted 3 years ago from Barclays.
Debt sold many times, and now it's with PRA.
I never replied to letters, email and no active phone number.
I received a letter before claim from PRA GROUP about 2 months ago.

I now received a claim form by CIVIL NATIONAL BUSINESS CENTRE dated almost 2 weeks ago. I phone NCBC and they said the claim seems to be genuine.
I checked on line www.moneyclaim.gov.uk and the claim appears.
But when I enter my claim number into the GOVernment website's "Respond using the Online Civil Money Claims Service," my claim appears to be invalid.
So I don't understand if this claim is genuine, also on the back of the letter I'm asked to bring or send the money to the claimant address (not to the court), is it normal procedure?

I have time until 8th September to reply before the deadline. Any help would be appreciated.

I receive universal credit , I'm self employed, I struggle financially (can't even pay all my bills in time), I have no saving and suffering from mental health issues.

I don't know what do, can you help please?
(Please consider that I have learning disability and get easily confused by answers if not not simple).

    Hi Welcome to LB
I hope I can help and put your mind at ease
Please read the article at https://debtcamel.co.uk/court-claim-form
If you admit the debt you should work out how much, if any, you can afford to repay each month
List out your monthly income and expenditure, then telephone the National Debtline on 0808 808 4000. They should be able to help you work out this figure and the court may look favourably on your repayment offer if you have taken advice from National Debtline.
You will then need to complete N9A inserting the figures and proposed monthly repayment

Hi, thank you for your reply.

I have read the article you posted above.
I was also on the phone with business national debt-line and worked out income and expenditure.

      I'm very confused:
They have suggested me to send the admission form to pay the debt in full and avoid a CCJ. But I have to see if someone can lend me all the money to avoid a CCJ.

Is my credit file already affected by no? and adding a CCJ will make it worst?

My question is, does it worth to do the following instead? :
      • for credit cards (including store cards and catalogues) and loans (including HP and payday loans) the creditor has to be able to produce a copy of the written agreement for the debt. See National Debtline’s Getting information about a debt for details. That tells you how to ask for this information and you should do this asap, BUT ALSO reply to the Claim within the short time limit, see How to dispute the debt below for details;

In case yes, what do I have to do and in what specific order?
      Deadline is on 6th Sept

Thanks very much for your help.

Also, I received a number of letters with slightly wrong addresses to my flat, with alleged fines and other stuff not related to me the weeks before I received the Civil National Business Centre claim form, isn't that weird?

Thanks very much for your help.
