  • Bank Smart !!!

Hello think this is a common problem...was contacted by them a year ago asking for Final Response letters for my claims luckily i had them and returned all the correspondence to them. Now a year later they have sent me another letter this time a letter of authority LOA to sign to a claim ref i do not recognise. Not sure what to do sign and return form or simply leave it as in my view all the claims have been settled with the FRL letter i have sent, any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

    in that case, ignore.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

      Hiya

If the LOA they are asking for is for a claim that doesn't already exist then I would agree with ATTICUS that you should ignore it but to be sure I'd need to see the LOA and accompanying letter. If you could send it to me at nick@legalbeaglesgroup.com I'll have a look.

Also if you have access to your Bank Smart online account that might shed some light on it.

Either way Bank Smart are now prohibited from issuing any breach of contract invoices - see here Bank Smart IMPORTANT UPDATE - LegalBeagles Forum

So even if the LOA is for an existing claim (and is just required to be updated) it's unlikely they could do anything about it, but I'd need to see it to be sure.
