  • Debts sold while on DPP

Hi yesterday I received an email from a collection agency regarding an account of mine. I am currently in a debt payment plan (Scotland) and have just completed my first year of payments.

Just wondering if a creditor (Drafty) can pass the debt onto a collection agency even though a year ago they accepted my DPP and have been receiving payments for the last years. Cheers

I would suggest they would not pass the debt to a collection agency unless you default on your agreement or are consistantly late with payments.

They defaulted the credit not long after I went into DPP so probably around March time. Was just wondering if this is normal or even allowed that a company passes on a debt to a collection agency when the debt is part of a DPP.
