  • Hd Law CMC Help!

    Hi
I apparently signed a LOA with Hd Law on 12-04-19 to act on my behalf with a PPI reclaim. I have no memory of this at all. I had continuous letters from various CMC at the time.
I have had no contact or correspondence with Hd Law until I received an email from them yesterday stating that I had a successful claim refund from Halifax on 07/11/19 and that I owed them £1939.97.
I did have a refund from another CMC on a different date and different amount from the Halifax. This fee was paid at the time.
I have obviously not received any other money from Halifax. I spoke with Halifax today and they say they have not had any correspondence from Hd Law.
Please help and advise. I have recently been made redundant from my job and I am extremely upset and worried about this.

You need to make a Subject Access Request for all the information & documents they hold on you - template here, edit to suit LegalBeagles

Once you've got it and you're still not sure if their invoice is justified then make a formal complaint. If they don't uphold it or you don't get a final response within 8 weeks you can go to the Legal Ombudsman.
