  • Case Stayed in Court & Account Closed

I am a newbie to this site and I am eagerly awaiting to hear what the OFT decide to do next, my claim like many others has been stayed with Courts from June 2007 (missed out getting my hands on some money by a few weeks!) and I attended Court to have my say and that was the last I heard until the cop out with the banks from the supreme courts hmmmm! almost wish the OFT had kept their noses out !

As soon as I made my claim for refund of charges the Yorkshire Bank closed my account which had a £5k overdraft on it and I had 30 days to refinance myself so where in the banks fair play policy does it allow them to do that.

I am ready for round 2 and I am eager to learn what technicalities outside of the supreme court ruling we can claim on ...it all seems to have now got very complicated with regards next action so I shall wait with baited breath to see what the OFT are going to say on Tuesday or alternatively see what template letters re new action from moneysavingexperts QC prevails, whatever happens I am not going to roll over until I have slapped my bank.
    Merry Xmas :26:

Hi tobydog, very welcome to Beagles. If, as I suspect, new arguments will have to be very personalised to every persons situation with regards to treatment and fairness ( which they will have to under cca 140 and reg 5(1) ) then that 5k could be a good imbalance example. If you have a nosey about in the OFT forums here theres a lot of good info and discussion as to the continuing legal arguments which we should be pushing on with after the OFT announcement.

      Roll on tomorrow really.:clgblinkie171:
