  • Affordability Complaints

    Hi all,

Iíve recently sent a bulk of emails to various payday lender for loans I had between 2012-2013. Most have come back with a standard investigating response so far, but 247moneybox have been quick off the mark and have already sent me a list of all loans and responded to my second email.

As I still have an outstanding balance with them, they are offering to write off the balance and remove CRA records - however I think the debt is either statute barred or very close to being now (last loan was June 2012 so it depends how default date is worked out) and I canít find any reference to them on my CRA anyway.

Is this the best I can hope for if I decline and escalate to FOS, due to their being an outstanding balance? Or could I still be entitled to a refund + interest, due to the fact they were unaffordable. I had 4 loans from them over consecutive months, with a higher loan amount each time to cover the repayment plus then having living expenses left afterwards.

Thanks in in advance for your help!
