If any of you or anyone you are helping and supporting is in the sad situation of having 6 months or less to live, and there is medical confirmation of this (Form DS1500 is needed), there is an expedited route by which the maximum possible amount of DLA can be awarded without the usual delays. In some cases, the top rate of ESA can also be awarded to someone of working age. Macmillan can help with applications under this expedited route for terminal illness.
