  • Hardship claim with Barclays

I am helping a friend of mine with his claim, which is with Barclays.

It is on his business account and the charges amount to nearly £10,000 with interest.

His claim was submitted to the bank on 19th September 2008, and subsequently on 9th March 2009 he was declared bankrupt, due to these charges and failure of customers to pay on time, and he has lost his business etc.

My question is, who will get the money, if in the end his claim is successful? Will the money go the official receiver or to my friend?

I believe that as your friend is Bankrupt all monies would therefore go to the receiver.
