Here is my situation My son was diagnosed with a brain tumour in feb2008 and again in june 2008 and just had radiotherapy so excuse me but not quite with it at the mo. We are now experiencing debts due to time out my hubby is self employed so no work no pay
We have mortgage arrears which are now going for possession order, ctax arrears which have agreed monthly payment and household bills arrears.
I am now recieving dla, carers allowance, child tax credit, child benefit, my husband is now back at work so money is starting to come back in but we are trying to play catch up and live and deal with my son at the same time. I could really do with these bank charges and would like to know what to do and any help with letters as my mind is mine field at the mo.

    Re: help with nationwide/court hardship

Hi cardsbykim and welcome to Legal Beagles.

If you could start by letting us know EXACTLY what stage you are at and what has happened so far.

It will also be helpful if you could complete the Legal Beagles - Beagles Managing your Finances Budget Form . It does sound as if you have a very good chance of applying for an interim payment from Nationwide under hardship grounds.

If you have a scanner it may also be a good idea to begin scanning in any relevant documents for you claim just in case someone needs to see them.

Have a read around and you will see that a few of our members have been successful in negotiating interim payments on their stayed cases. It is not a quick or easy process but with a little patience and the support from everyone here, it is possible we may be able to help.
Any opinions I give are my own. Any advice I give is without liability. If you are unsure, please seek qualified legal advice.

        Re: help with nationwide/court hardship

You should have a look at a few of the successes we have had recently.

If you go to new posts you will see threads by Jester ,outspoken and bloomingflower and derochelle.

If you could post up what claims you have stayed at the moment

        whoyour mortgage is with?

The amount of arrears. Have you made any arrangements to repay arrears? Have you had a court hearing?

        A list of your debts

And it would be an idea to complete an I&E sheet from here ready to send with letters.

If you were able to reclaim your charges and have reduced payments on your debts would you be able to manage each month?

        That sort of info.

I am sure none of us can appreciate what a difficult time you must be going through at the moment. But we will try and help if we possible can.

        We will do our best.
