Hi all,
I have a letter out of the blue chasing full payment of a personal loan of £25000 but with interest etc now £31000.
Its from Dryden solicitors but previously Arrow Global (it was a Sainsburys loan).
I think it may also have been picked up and chased by other debt agencies a few years ago.Nothing came of those.
The loan has a default date of 17 Aug 2010. Statute barred based on this.
BUT I had a verbal agreement to pay £24 per month which i couldnt stick to and stopped payments. Payments were sporadic anyway BUT the last payment was Feb 2013. So NOT statute barred.
What best course to take?
I dont want a court claim.
Shall i use a CCA template letter to get more info from them in the hope they dont have details of the 2013 payment and they note it as statute barred???
Are Dryden or Arrow Global known for being keen to issue court claims?
Thanks for any help
