General judgement or order N24 HELP

Today I have received a 'general judgement or order' N24, I am the defendant and unsure what it means.

The letter statement judgement to the claimant for £***, no order for cost.

Does this mean I need to pay the claimant the amount, and when by there is no date stated.

Hi Jodie100382, welcome to LB.

It looks like there has been a County Court Judgment made against you & in favour of the Claimant, & you are ordered to pay the Claimant £X 'forthwith' (straight away).
I would imagine that this has not appeared 'out of the blue'.....if it has, you could possibly apply to set-aside the judgment.

Thanks for the reply no this is not out of blue, when you say straight away does is that like within 30 days as do not have a address or contact detail for who I need to pay?

As the above link says "If you pay the full amount within a month you can get the judgment removed from the register." which means the CCJ will not harm your credit rating. If you want to do this, do NOT leave it until the last day. You want to be sure the money will have reached the relevant account by the time the month ends taking into account weekends and bank holidays.
