  • BW legal

Hello everyone, I am hoping somebody could give me some advice here. I've ended up having several debts mainly due to being made redundant some time ago. Anyway I received a letter from bw legal asking for payment of £369 in 14 days or basically they'll take me to court. I can't pay it and had spoken to Stepchange some months ago and decided between us that bankruptcy is my best option. I have filled everything in online and trying to save the fee. Stepchange told me to send them a copy of my income and expenditure and offer £1pcm. Recently I moved back to my parents because my mum has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and i want to be there to help. What is worrying me is that I'll end up with debt collectors on my parents doorstep and it is the last thing they need right now.

Is the Stepchange advice the way to go? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

Just how much are your debts -roughly?

BR is a huge step and not one to be taken lightly.

As for the debt of 369, what is it for as maybe you can sort it.

around 20k in total, the £369 was from money shop. My gearbox went on my car and without it I couldn't get to work. I know bankruptcy is a big step and I've thought about it for quite a while really
