Hello all
Hoping for a bit of advice..a family member has received a claim form against him from county court in relation to an Egg Loan. He is retired but when was working he increased monthly direct debit to around £450 a month to pay off quicker but couldn't afford it after several months so tried to bring direct debit amount down again. Egg said he couldn't and had to continue on high monthly direct debits - he couldn't so it defaulted and to cut a long story short he has a CCJ against him about 2 yrs ago.. Yet he offered in writing at the time to make a lower monthly payment but they wouldn't accept..
So it got left and now it seems it's been bought by Arrow and we now have the court paperwork.. What should we do now? (Sorry for waffling) they can't put another judgement on the same account surely? He is willing to pay a smaller amount per month.. But I don't think its possible for them to give him another judgement when he has one on this account?
