CCJ with LTSB since 2012 for approx £18.5K - no interest applied. Arranged with the court to pay £50 per month and have been doing so ever since without missing a payment - balance now approx £16K. Received a letter supposedly from Lloyds saying they have passed on the debt to Moorcroft. The letter was sent from Moorcrofts - PO BOX 17, Stockport. Then received a letter from Moorcroft basically saying I should cancel my payments to Lloyds and contact them to arrange payments. They state that they are aware of the court order also. I'm confused as to why Lloyds should do this given that I've not missed a single payment and they are not going to get a penny more by transferring this debt to Moorcroft - so why did they do it?
My feelings are to completely ignore Moorcroft and continue paying what the court ordered and not Lloyds. Your thoughts and expert opinions are welcome.
Thanks.
