  • Advice regarding charging order

Hi everyone, im just looking for some advice if anyone can help?
My parents got into some financial trouble about 10 years ago which ended up with them receiving a ccj, this was then turned into a charging order placed by Asset Link Capitol (1) ltd, the amount was approx £6600. Nothing happened about this until approx 4 years later when the debt was passed to Link financial ltd (part of the same group i assume?) These then almost doubled the debt to £13200 and then placed a form K restriction on the house as well!
They now want to sell their house, they know the £6600 needs to be paid back but are worried they are going to be hit by a double whammy?
My questions are were they allowed to pass this debt on to a company within their group? Is it ok for both a charge and restriction to be placed on the same debt and finally is interest and (or) charges allowed to be added to a debt that was a ccj/charging order?
    Many thanks
