  • Second charge loan from Firstplus - repaid in 2013 but Land Registry charge remains.

    Hoping someone can help! I had a second charge loan with Firstplus which was repaid in full in December 2013. I'm currently in the process of selling my house but my soliciter has informed me that the Land Registry charge from Firstplus is still in place. Given that Firstplus are no more I'm at a loss in terms of how to proceed. Unfortunately I didn't keep any paperwork from Firstplus.
    All advice welcome!

    Firstplus are now Elderbridge;

    Given you paid off your loan before the assignment I, would contact Barclays direct as they owned Firstplus in the period you mentioned;

    pamela.thomas@barclays-loans.com

    or

    Alex.clough@barclays-loans.com

    See what they advise, mark your correspondence as urgent, try & find your Firstplus account number for easy reference.
