  • Jacobs - Parking Fine

Hi - new member on here with a problem with Jacobs.
Basically I've had a letter hand delivered demanding £392 within 24 hours etc... Goods removed etc.. Its for a parking fine but the car was registered at my mother in laws at the time and we lost touch with her until a few weeks ago so I'm unaware Of any previous letters from them

I need to contact the bully who sent it to prevent them from calling at a house I no longer live at but I don't want them to have my new address if possible.

Really don't know what to do ??

Did you know about the original ticket when it was issued? If all documentation was sent to an old address then contact the Traffic Enforcement Centre to apply for an Out of Time. If returned via email then Enforcement may be halted the same day and the Council may issue you with an opportunity to pay the original ticket which I assume would have been £50. You may have to explain why you did not changr the address at the time you moved as you could be at risk of a fine from DVLA of not keeping records up to date.
