  • Swift advances???

Hi has anyone ever beaten these b'stards?? I had fos look into charges and although swift offered to reimburse one charge of £64 I ended up getting £387 back. They did however manage to up the intrest on charges even though I pay sufficient funds to cover my loan and all intrest. (Work that one out if you will).
I record all my conversations with them now and all information they give is inconsistent. I even have them telling bear faced lies.
Question is although I hear I'm not alone in been had by these sharks I'm wondering if there has been successful stories in dealing with them and if any laws are set to change.
    Thanks

      Re: Swift advances???

      Seamuss68 and lunny123,
There are many questions to ask both of you, and answers to them need to be answered.
      1. When did you take your loan out.
      2. How may interest rate rise have the applied to your loan
      3. Can you supply the dates
      4. Have you made a SAR to Swift Advances Plc
      5. Have you been supplied with your History Notes of your account.

I have a lot more questions for you both, but can you supply the answers to the above, as your first steps.
I am pretty confident I can help you but I must have the answers to the questions I ask.
We have a little group that is working against Swift, so expect others to join in.
      Regards,

      Sparkie

Need help with this company please - I have done SAR, I have the info listed above but a bit dubious about putting it up in public like this. Any other option?

            Need help with Swift Advances!

Swift violated the duty of good faith/ fair dealing with us the costumer by

Deliberately creating a technical default to amass fees and acquiring property.

We were never identified as vulnerable customers, despite numerous reach out to the lender. Unfair charges were amassed through the years.

Furthermore, they never even enquired into our accounts, when first applying, just going with whatever the broker implied. Why the safety of the customer was put behind illicit gains?

Swift advances is breaching the following by

            ● Civil fraud by misrepresentation - and abuse of trust

Swift 1st ( now Swift advances) used a broker (gone bust) to target first time borrowers, without any affordability checks.

            ● Improper control- they coerced many times to sell property

FD10/FD3 - lack clear communication/ lack of compassion. Bank statement were asked substantially, when we couldn't keep up with the payments of the loan.

CV3 - they were made aware of being vulnerable mentally in 2011 2018 on phone , then march 2024 through court.

FD11 unfair charges, arrears fees: legal cost: field agents visits: letters: eviction cancelations, solicitor fees.

            Fiduciary / trust
            • FD1/ FD5 instead of being identified as a customer in financial difficulties, they amassed charges from letters, to late payments fees, to repeated eviction stress and fees
            • FD2/3 they often tried to "coerce" to sell up in vulnerable times.(ie. When they were informed about mental difficulties of the borrower that had been dealing with this loan throughout - 2018 highlighted again)
            • FD9/FD11/CV9

instead of freezing fees, the only thing they agreed to was an-only-interest payment back. For nearly 10 years now.

            The broker, and therefore Swift
            • Violated the fiduciary duty by steering first time, vulnerable borrowers to higher rates loans, furthermore he pushed to back it up on the property at the last minute, instead of just having a guarantor.
            • CV7/9 Manipulated data, salaries and annual cost to get us the loan.
            is this civil fraud?

            uptaded events:

-Already had a response to complaint letter.
            -courts involved
            -More than 5 eviction issued
-about to send all documents to ombudsman too
