    I am inclined to agree with you, my ex wife started with a capital one and moved from that to a Barclaycard and another one as well as multiple catalogue accounts.
    It was dreadful how a woman on pension credit could run up debts if she had so wished of over £15K , I can't remember the limits now but I think BC was 7K and Cap 1 5K

      Thank you for all the advice.
      I do not want or need a mortgage at the moment and certainly not for several years so I will go ahead with the card until my credit report looks better and then try to swap to a main stream card provider at which time I will cancel the Aqua card. I wonder if it helped that I use Amazon quite a lot as the adverT was linked through my Amazon account
