That is precisely what they rely on with those recons.

It was not uncommon for application forms in general to be just little booklets and then the terms would be sent out with the card in those days.

One way to work out whether those were the actual terms would be to see how much you were actually charged in interest, however, how many people would have statements from 2000? :noidea: A SAR would probably only go as far back as six years which is what most banks send, 10 if you're lucky. :mmph:

I do have some data from my SAR pertaining to 22/11/99 but needs to assess value as not sure this will give anything ; -

      Statement date - 22/11/99
      Minimum Payment due - £15.00
      New balance £476.10

      Statement date - 22/12/99
      Minimum Payment due - £5.00
      New balance £143.00

This is just down as pages of information However, if they have this on the system, I may be able to obtain from them a bit more information. I am assuming as I have two balances that if I could work out the actual payment then I could assess the rate.

Re: Latest information on Pre 2007 CCA

So I have just done some cross checking between my SAR and the reconstituted terms and conditions that were set out.

My terms and conditions have V3# printed on the bottom as per my uploaded copies. On the SAR they have an old system called Apollo and my product code is listed as V2. Therefore my conclusion is that they have sent the T & C's close to the time but not specific to my credit agreement. Amethyst has listed T & C's for V2 (1997) where the interest rates are different.

        Any thoughts

If the T&Cs do not relate to your particular credit product then the recon is not 'honest and accurate', and it's not a recon at all if it doesn't relate to your account. Having said that, I'm not sure about the wisdom of alerting them to the fact that your product version was "v2" since they could just reel off a computer printout of those and paste your name and address on them.

I have to agree with FP drawing attention to faulty T's & C's is not wise, but if it becomes necessary all that is needed is a short statement such as.

                Sir/Madam

I refer to the set of reconstituted Terms and Conditions purported to be a true copy of a credit agreement, these documents are refuted and I am sure I do not have to point out the defects of which I am sure you are aware.
