  • Bryan carter solicitors...claim for money I don't owe

    Hi

I am looking for some advise... After a domestic abusive marriage of 16 years my ex moved out and I got to move back into our family home with our 3 children who now don't see him anymore due to his abuse to them too.

It was then that I received letters in my name for a catalogue bill.

I know now that my ex took out an account in my name with the catalogue "very". I have no idea what items he bought but I phoned "very" and informed them and they noted that my ex had been paying but now had stopped. But I gave them his new address and didn't hear anything back.

It's been 3 years since I heard anything and now I've received 2 letters from Bryan Carter solicitors saying I owe £3,542.00.

Please advise what I should do? I know it's in my name but I have never received anything or signed up but I know my ex has set this account up.

Thank you in advance for you're help.

    Good morning welcome to LB,

Not a pleasant series of events but unfortunately not an uncommon scenario.
Who is Carter acting for Lowell?
Is there a threat of legal action in the letters?
