  • county court claim form byron carter

Hi, could you please help me. I have recieved a court pack from Byron carter on behalf of lowell last week for a debt from welcome finance. I received this letter out of the blue, I have already had and spent a ccj for this debt in which I paid a monthly amount of £90 from 2009 until this time last year. Lowell portfolio were rereceivers of the moneys but for some reason another company contacted me saying the final money was going to be paid to them now, they never sent paper work out and no money was collected. The debt was for a vehicle purchased in 2004 and reposessed in 2006 due to financial circumstances. I sent the vehicle back to them in which the remainding amount was what the ccj was for. The amount the Byron carter is asking for now is the full amount again, £7950. This was the original price of the vehicle in 2004. I have moved 4 times since the car and no longer have the paper work from welcome and they have ceased trading. I thaught this was all in the past as I paid my dues, lost the vehicle and have paid ever since. please can you advice me what to do.

    Thanks
    Ste
