Re: MKDP help needed please
OK, don't worry about it. Given the dates you mention above, this debt is statute barred.  Even if last paid December 2008, it would be SBd by now. :clap2: You may still want to take a look at your credit file just to make sure it's not showing on there any more, debt purchasers have a nasty habit of changing the default date to the date when they were assigned the account. If that was the case, you should get the record amended.
I'd say since this is SBd, you should send MKDP a letter to that effect rather than a CCA request. Once you do that, the onus will be on THEM to show it isn't SBd. I can't see on your profile where you are based, assuming you are in England and Wales, this is the letter to send. There's no fee for this letter as you are not requesting anything but it's still a good idea to send it recorded delivery. MKDP have been issuing court claims lately so it's best to nip this one right in the bud!:thumb:
Unlike the CCA request, this one is applicable to ANY account, regardless of whether it was a loan, overdraft, mobile contract, etc.

Dear Sirs
Unless you can provide evidence of payment or written acknowledgment from me within this period, under Section 5 of the Limitation Act 1980, you’ll no longer be able to take court action to recover the debt. Any court claim will be defended on this basis.
Section 7.15.8 of FCA Consumer Credit Sourcebook states: "A firm must not continue to demand payment from a customer after the customer has stated that he will not be paying the debt because it is statute barred."
If you have evidence that this debt isn’t statute barred then please send it to me within 21 days. Otherwise, please confirm that you won’t pursue me for this debt.
Yours faithfully
