Re: best way to go after bournes
Well we need to know about your debts, if you can list them, who to, how much.
When we get a better picture there maybe ways to help you sort them or maybe it will be that a DMP is the best way.
Until we get a full picture we wont know.

Re: best way to go after bournes
I agree with enaid ...
1, How much money had you paid to Bournes??
2, Was it for a 'full and final' settlement or monthly payments??
3, How many creditors did/do you have??
4, How much has Bournes paid them for you??
5, When did they (Bournes) stop forwarding payments to your creditors??
If you give us as much detail as you can, we will be able to advise you easier/better :tinysmile_twink_t2:

Re: best way to go after bournes
I paid £300 per month but they didn't pay my creditors who didn't freeze interest and when they did agree I was lucky if they paid them. Before bournes i was with step change paying £526. I used to get an email statement saying who had been paid but not had one since about july.

Re: best way to go after bournes
Is there any equity in your house? If so how much, and is it jointly owned?
£300 represents your current monthly surplus income then?
Can you give us approximate dates that each credit agreement was first taken out please? Especially the ones with DCAs.

Re: best way to go after bournes
You need to contact your creditors and find out when they received the last payment from Bournes in relation to your debts. Inform your creditors that Bournes have gone into administration - they should agree to put things on hold while you are sorting out a new DMPDebt is like any other trap, easy enough to get into, but hard enough to get out of.

Re: best way to go after bournes
A lot of those will be quite old agreements, so it may be worth requesting CCAs (on the loans and cards) at some point if you haven't done so already. At the very least if any struggle to come up with them it might give you bargaining power for reduced settlements.
