A few years ago I briefly worked for Royal Mail. Once I had left they made a salary payment in error to me of approx £100. They have now passed this debt onto a credit collection agency, that say they will take legal action if I don't repay Royal Mail's error. My question, do they have a case, or should I continue ignoring it? Thanks!

Re: Employment over payment
Were you aware of the error at the time and did they offer to let you repay over a sensible period of time?
I think you'd be best off sorting it out, it's not a massive amount, and not worth getting your credit file mucked up over. What would your defence be in court?#staysafestayhome
Any support I provide is offered without liability, if you are unsure please seek professional legal guidance.

Re: Employment over payment
As Amethyst points out, your chances of succesfully defending this are slim.
Bear in mind that if they do sue you for it (it's a small sum, and to do so would be quite ridiculous, but large organisations are often staffed by very small people, so the possibility shouldn't be discounted), you may have costs added to it.
Be aware that the DCA may start demanding all sorts of bogus fees and charges, so make any payment direct to Royal Mail.
