Is it correct that a company who are not registered with the FSA (Webb Resolutions) is permitted to collect mortgage payments from mortgages that they have aquired from another lender, in this case Mortgage Express. And if that is the case, and they were not legally entitled to do so, should they then now return any payments made by me while they were unregistered?
On another matter but related, it occurs to me that my original mortgage contract was with Mortgage Express, who then sold it onto Webb Resolutions, who therefore do not have a agreed contract with me in place. Is that mortgage contract therefore illegal with Webb Resolutions, and if so I assume that when they aquired my mortgage they have now paid it of on my behalf and they have no contract with me to recover the sum paid!
What do you think legal eagles?
