Basically I forgot to pay brighthouse last week and today they've phoned me about 8 times.
i phoned them back and they said they want £38.50, now my actual agreement is £27.50 a week and I have been late paying before but they only charged me £36.50. I have two items and have argued with them before that nowhere in the contract does it say that the late payment is per item. But that's not the point I'm trying to make here.
They put their late fees up to £5.50 and never alerted me about this, they claim they sent a letter out but I never got one. They said there was a poster up instore about it, but I never go in to the store and finally it does not say anywhere on the brighthouse website about the increase in late fees, in fact it doesn't say anything about any late fees. Now, when I signed my contract I was agreeing to paying late fees of £4.50, not £5.50, I know it's only an extra £1 but I'm a student and that extra £1 does make a big difference to me. Also when in arrears I'm not covered by the dlc or that osc thing they insist you take out so my question is do I actually need to pay the extra £1 late fee and the dlc and osc (considering I'm not even covered by it right now)?
Brighthouse really make me angry, the staff have such an aggressive tone in their voices and refuse to listen to the customer about anything.
