I've got myself into a mess.
My husband died 6 months ago, and I just didn't keep on top of my Lloyds bank account and credit card.
I now have £180 owing from o/d on bank account and just over £800 on credit card.
I did contact Lloyds before my husband died to say I was his carer and could they freeze the daily payment fee on the accounts as I simply wasn't in a position to pay at that time, they did not acknowledge this and have only sent one letter before passing the 2 debts on to Cabot.
Cabot are phoning, sending letters etc daily. The small amount they've said to phone them to discuss payment. The larger amount they've said they will send an agent to my house to get me to liaise with Cabot, can they do this?
I'm fully aware I owe the debt but I have no means to pay at the moment. I am going through probate but this obviously takes time.
I have not liased with Cabot at all yet, what's the best way of me dealing with this please?
