I知 hoping to get some advice regarding a situation I知 currently facing with a sub-tenant under a holiday let agreement.
To provide some context, I am the original tenant renting one of the three rooms in the property. I sub-let one of the rooms to a tenant under a holiday let agreement. The agreement stipulated that the tenant was to stay until the 8th of September. However, they left early, between the 17th and 18th of August, without paying the full rent for the agreed period.
This early departure has left me covering additional rent costs for this month. I知 seeking clarification on my rights under the holiday let agreement, particularly whether the tenant remains liable for the full rent up until the originally agreed-upon date. Additionally, I壇 like to understand what steps I can take to recover the outstanding amount if necessary.
I can't attached the agreement for reference. Any insights or advice on how to handle this situation would be greatly appreciated.
The term was one month rolling worded as such: 7. Should neither party have brought the Tenancy to an end at or before the expiry of the Term, then a new tenancy from month to month will be created between the Landlord and the Tenant which will be subject to all the terms and conditions of this Agreement but will be terminable upon the Landlord giving the Tenant the notice required under the applicable legislation of England (
