  • Resolve call

    Hi
I've just received a text from Resolve Call with a link that I clicked on.
I confirmed who I was and downloaded a letter which stated, I owed Sky Card £1400 and they want payment or its a h9me visit!!
I've never heard of Sky Card.
Can somebody please advise me how to proceed?
    Thanks

Sky Card allows you to use your pre-loaded day(s) whenever you wish, without pre-booking.
All additional tickets through the season need to be pre-booked online, using your Sky card discount.

Resolve Call has no powers at all. What you could do is amend, print out the following letter, place in an envelope, if they call, hand it to them. If the creditor / agents send a Letter Before Action, update the thread.

You just need to Google 'Sky Card', it's a viewing card. So it's a debt with Sky.

If you don't know what the that is, why have you emailed a Statute Barred letter?

Or did you send the "Complaining to debt collection agencies that you do not owe the debt" letter that Echatt11 linked you to in Post #2?

Statute Barred has nothing to do with this alleged debt as far as I can tell from what you have posted so far.

            [EDIT Posted before I saw Echat11's post #5 ]

If you subscribe to Sky TV you get given a card, the Sky Card/Sky Viewing Card, a credit card size piece of plastic you have to put into the Sky Box before you can actually view Sky TV channels. The card de-codes the encrypted TV channels transmitted by Sky and allows them to be seen on your home TV.

Do you watch Sky TV at home?

However, there is an online market that sells fake Sky Cards that people can buy and use to by-pass Sky's security and encryption and watch Sky TV without paying a subscription to Sky. Sky uses various technologies to try and track down people who are using these cards illegally. One explanation for the alleged debt could be that Sky believe you, or someone at your address, is using a fake Sky Card. Or of course Sky have simply misidentified you and the debt is owed by someone else entirely.

I'm assuming it's a Sky credit card. I think I had one 20 years ago, hence the Statute Barred response
I will wait for their reply with more details, hopefully
