Dealing with debt via phone??

Ive put everything in writing to barclaycard and sent recorded delivery.

They want me to phone them to discuss our income/expenditure, repayment plan etc by a certain date otherwise they will start recovery proceedings.

Do I have to discuss everything via the phone? I want to carry on having everything in writing and not have to deal with people on the phone

Keep copies, and be prepared to show copies to the court.
