    Welcome finance

    Hi
    i had a loan with these 18 years ago but after a break down of my relationship and losing my self for a while I never kept up with payments to these.Today I have had a letter to say this outstanding debt has been passed over to a company.After all this time to I need to repay or since it has been 18 years has this elapsed.

    Do you know when you last paid anything ?

    Was the original debt secured ?

    Any mention in the letter of a CCJ ?

      Not sure
      Not ccj just a letter informing debt has been bought by another company

        Consult a good solicitor & discuss the things mentioned in that letter and seek advice & follow the same.

            If you're asking, I'd say your gut is telling you no, so I'd go with that instinct. Also they are from Detroit in the US so no use here.
