  • interim charging order help - Mortimer/Marlin Northern rock

hello there, this is my first post so please excuse my confusion.

I took out 2 personal loans with Northern Rock in my name but whilst with me ex. They were unsecured loans and after I moved out and purchased my own house I fell in to arrears.
The loans were maybe around 2007 time.

I struggled to keep up repayments and stopped paying them at all around 2008 i would think. I looked in to the legal implications (terrified) and ignored the legal threats.

Jumping forward to 2013, I emigrated and my UK house had tenants that forward post to me.
I have recently sold my house and the solicitor has flagged up two interim orders (2014) connected to the original loans. they have written to Mortimer Clark as we don't know if they are final orders or not and really I have no idea what my options are.

I have never received anything regarding the charging order or CCJ (although my tenant could have just thrown them away maybe) and I have no paperwork here to look back over what the original agreement was.
I presumed the loans were statute barred. There is some equity in the property to cover the debt should there be a final charging order. Please could anyone offer any advice? thank you
