I contacted them yestarday and they were not very forthcoming........I got the impression they were dealing with Bournes but only by reading between the lines!!! Just need to wait.....its the weekend beer and wine I thinks!!!!

Hi I am another person who's got an account with Bourne's and have been trying to get in touch with them for roughly 2 weeks its so frustrating. Do we cancel our direct debit to them? And what do we do next? I am panicking.

Yes cancel your direct debit. I have tried for a couple of weeks with no joy. I have found out that they have gone into administration. But don't panic yet - I know its hard not to as I have been all week. But contact you crediters they should put your accounts on hold while we wait for more information. The FCA should have contacted them so they should know about this. Hopefully we should find out soon I do have thousands with them so fill your pain. Hopefully everything will work out for the best.....they were after all FCA approved.

You could possibly try contacting the Administrators http://www.labusinessrecovery.com/ - although I'm not sure how advisable it is to do so???

Anyone tried phoning them?

Yes I called them yestarday but didn't get anywhere as they could not answer whether thay had or not. Reading between the lines I would say they have. I think there maybe legal stuff stopping anyone from saying anything yet. Legal beagles can you explain? Pleeeaaase.

It makes me a little better that I am not the only one but you still worry. Do we contact other debt management people to take over our plans or do we sit and wait? Do you think they will have distributed our monthly money out to our creditors or is that just wishful thinking? I wondered why I hadn't received a statement for a couple of months its all fitting into place now.

Ive been on the phone to the fca today and they told me to cancel payments to them keep an eye on the fca website for administrator details and what to do and they said our money should be ring fenced so the administrator will be able to help us get our money back! Also contact your creditors and tell them of bournes being in administration and they should carry on with the current payments. So hopefully there will be news on the fca website soon!! Seems from OTR that this was another firm that was building up 'pots' of money rather than paying everything to creditors as they should have been.

Hard to say what has happened to those funds without much more info, but you fear the worst with these cases as the news is rarely good. :/

We have handed Bournes £20000 which we raised to pay off our creditors. This is money we have borrowed from family. Is there any way to seek recompence.

I'd suggest that as soon as the administrators have made the announcement you should get in touch and try to get your money back through them

My creditors were all very understanding and have put my accounts on hold. So no need to enter a debt management plan until I find out more from the administrators. If I do need to enter another one it will be a no fee one. Let's hope we get letters early next week.

I contacted FCA and they told me to contact financial ombudsman to make a complaint which I did then they said, call national debt line so I did, they said I had to contact all my creditors and offer to pay them what they have been paid. I am so confused about what to do for the best as I had paid all my money up and have been waiting since May for them to settle all my debts but every time I spoke to Ron he said we r waiting for the statements, I also sent emails but got no response. Does anyway know if we will get our money back as this is really upsetting? :tinysmile_cry_t:

Ron......yes I also was speaking to him up to the middle of August. What I have concluded from the last couple of weeks is that we can't do anything until the administratirs decided to contact us. We must hope that our money is safe if not I know the names of the directors and other companies they are involved in.....rogue trders or watchdog would love to hear our stories but I am hoping it won't come to that as the administators will sort things out. I will certainly be in for a long fight if needed. I have spoken to the fca, companies house, insolvency service, citizens advice bureau, debt advisors, L A business recovery, madox brown solicitors, my creditors, FSCS and unfortunately at this time all we can do is wait. Next week should hopefully brings some news. God bless its good news.
