Hi all, Sorry big post ahead!! we were made aware of the Bournes situ like most of you a couple of weeks ago! We firstly panicked, worried, were scared of all the letters etc, but I have to say following this thread and other correspondence through another bournes customer we found through bournes fb page we have almost resolved our problem. We emailed the administrators as mentioned in an earlier thread, so now have a contact there, albeit a standard one at the mo! Then I have spent 6 hours today ringing all our creditors, quite a few , and I have to say each and every one has been extremely helpful, offering advice, reassurance etc. Once I had figures of each I then worked our percentage wise how much to pay each one, called them back and after going through a few income and expenditure questions have set up new payment plans with each, which I have to say was double they were being paid by bournes as no fees need paying! Feels great being back in control! I guess what I'm trying to say is don't be frightened of the situation and wait for the letters to come flooding, just ring them, the creditors were fantastic with me today! Next step reading the latest posts is to contact the ombudsman to see if we can get any money back! Good luck all!

Hi Jamie .... Welcome to LB!

First things first, make sure you have cancelled any standing orders etc...
You need to get hold of all your creditors and inform them that Bournes are in administration. They should put everything on hold while this is ongoing (hopefully).
you can contact the administrators (LA Business Recovery) via their email address: bournes@labusinessrecovery.com

Nibbler (in post #122 - on pg 5 of this thread) has added attachments that you might want to read too. The login and password for Bournes clients are in the "initial notification" pdf. You can go onto LA Business Recovery's website (http://www.labusinessrecovery.com), click on 'creditor login' and use the email address bournes@labusinessrecovery.com and password Bournes2014 (case sensitive) in order to check for updates :tinysmile_grin_t:

Usually they put a notice on the company in administration's website but they just seem to have broken it in this case
              Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@bournesdebtsolutions.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
and still only the initial notification on the administrators site

I'm getting emails off of people who are only just learning about the company going under and didn't receive any letters from Bournes or the administrators yet, and have still been paying standing orders out to the buggers. They NEED to get a notification up on the website.

Only when the administrators have done there bit which they need to have a plan for and inform all clients within 8 weeks from when they were appointed. I'm sure there will be enough money for them to get their fee's. I hop all clients money are safe in the holding account, but who knows - I think if it's not and they have lost it all it must be criminal somehow because that money should of been safeguarded because it basically wasn't there's!!!!!!

Not quite Remrett - your post contained strong unverified allegations and personal contact details that are not in the public domain. We can't post things like that without some kind of evidence. Allegations should be bought to the attention of the FCA and/or the police if you believe there may have been criminal activity.

They have messed us all up! I know I said above that creditors were great, they all are except for one.... Marlin Financial Services.... they are bullying us into paying them more! We have 9 creditors in total and we have been through income and expenditure with all of them, the exact same info.... the only company questioning our expenses are Marlin, made me feel very small, embarrassed and stupid for spending unnecessarily..... ie.... school trips for the kids, dancing and football for the kids.... endowment mortgage savings! Are they for real??!!! They are our smallest debt and were being really nasty.. I know they are trying to force us to pay them off... but I know they have to all be paid fairly.. pro rata, one creditor cant be seen to be more favourable to pay than the others!
Anyway they have declined or offer... which was double what Bournes paid them, the were pushing me into another debt management company, which we dont need to do know, we have dealt with them all except for theirs! so I have sent in a complaint.. the customer service was shocking! We'll see what happens next, but from reading on other forums etc I think Marlin are nasty! If no result I will contact the FCA and the financial ombudsman, where do we stand with this do you think???
