    Response to data protection act request from 1st Credit - is this right?

    I sent a DPA request to 1st Credit, and received a letter back, acknowledging my £10 fee, with a form for me to fill in asking for a photocopy of my passport and proof of address, with the (optional) reason for my request before they'd send my data to me (resetting the clock to 40 days).

    Do I have to fill this in and send it back to them, or can I write another letter to them?

    Are you communicating with them from an address that they have previously communicated with you at?
    "Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry).       I'm not a Lawyer but from a layman's experience, i've always sent a copy of my passport when requesting my personal data even when I have had dealings with a Data Controller. It pre-empts delays in processing a request. I've never had to explain why I want my personal data nor would I do so.
