Hello Fellow Beagles,
I am new here guys so apologies in advance if I am not posting within the rules or anything it is not my intention to offend.
I have recently started receiving correspondence from our friends at PRA Group who have bought a credit card debt from Barclaycard that belongs to me.
Until recently I had an arrangement to pay a nominal fee to barclay card as I fell into financial hardship but I presume they wanted the debt off their P+L so therefore sold it to PRA.
I recently sent a CCA request to PRA (thanks curlyben) and have included both my letter to them requesting this and their response to it on this post.
I am a complete novice if I am honest and I feel way out of my depth so really would appreciate some help on how to deal with these people and what to do next from the lovely people on this forum (flutters eyelashes).
Strangely the response letter from PRA to my CCA request is dated 26/04/16 despite me only sending the request on 24/05/16 does this have any relevance or is there an angle here for me?
Anyway the response seems a little strange and I have to admit I am a little unsure on some of the jargon and terminology in the letter so could really do with some help on this and how to go forward?
Accordingly to the response letter my account is on hold but goes on to say that they do not have to provide a "certified copy of the deed of assignment or deed or novation as these documents include sensitive commercial information in relation to our business"
Is this allowed or should I challenge this?
I am going to need my hand held on this one folks please help
